Title: Director, User Experience - Mobile

A top online retailer is looking for an innovative Director, User Experience, Mobile, to create the User Experience (UE) vision for its mobile products. This unique position provides an opportunity to manage and build a small team of designers who will deliver the UX vision. The special part of this opportunity is that the Director of UX, Mobile will have access to the resources needed to do great work and the opportunity to have an impact on millions of people by delivering simple, beautiful designs and great products.

Reporting to the Vice President of Mobile, the Director will be a key member of the leadership team.

Responsibilities:
• Create the User Experience vision for the company's mobile products
• Determine the best mix of techniques and tools to bring to life various product concepts to shape product roadmap

• Build a small team of designers for mobile products
• Manage a design team; provide daily feedback and guidance; delegate effectively
• Inspire development team with compelling user-centered designs
• Manage execution of the UX functions of the development process
• Select and manage external vendors as necessary to supplement internal capacity
• Serve as the UE Lead for periodic projects, as needed, for new products or offerings that require a higher-level of strategic definition
• Direct the development of complex systems of interactive functionality for mobile and simple screens
• Work on and/or oversee multiple projects and change priorities, as needed
• Consistently deliver high-quality work, with little or no direction from manager

Requirements:
• Ten years of professional experience in mobile experience and/or Web-based information architecture, interaction design, user experience design, or user interface design (including the design of the overall information architecture of several sites and advanced transactional design experience)
• Experience with handheld consumer electronics products a plus; retail /e-commerce background preferred
• Three to five years of direct management experience of a similar-size team
• Expertise in client services and negotiating business decisions
• Experience in user research observation and translating user research into design decisions
• Exceptional information presentation (graphic and written) experience
• Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in HCI, Information Science, design disciplines (industrial, graphic, instructional, architecture), another relevant field, or related work experience
• Demonstrated command of UCD and Human Factors principles
• Expert-level knowledge of Illustrator and PhotoShop, Dreamweaver and HTML editing tools
• Advanced knowledge of InDesign, Office Suite and Acrobat as well as knowledge of HTML 5, CSS 3, jquery and experience developing for native OS for iPhone, Android and feature phones
• Expert command of typography, color, composition, hierarchy
• Excellent people- and project-management skills
• Strong relationship skills and the ability to influence people up, down and on a peer level to obtain buy-in on designs
• Ability to think conceptually about projects and campaigns as a whole
• Able to successfully persuade/influence team members, sell ideas effectively and get results
• A strong verbal communicator in a variety of presentation situations
• Skilled at giving effective feedback to drive successful designs
• Able to handle significant pressure with grace

Title: Director, User Experience

A top e-commerce company, positioned for continued growth, is searching for a Director of User Experience (UX) to join its office in a London suburb. The Director of UX will be responsible for driving creativity, lending technical expertise and ensuring business objectives are met. The Director of User Experience will be responsible for overseeing local agencies and a small UX team as it tackles a huge e-commerce integration project. Building and growing the local team will be a primary task.

The Director will help establish and communicate effective design processes through a strong understanding of user-centered design techniques coupled with practical experience in how a UX team should collaborate cross-functionally for maximum effectiveness, delivering solutions for the online shopping experience. The successful candidate will have had experience in developing new approaches to User Experience design based on industry best practices, including Agile development methodologies. Some travel to offices in the U.S.A. will be required.

• Demonstrated success in leading IA or user experience efforts on collaborative multi-functional teams including project planning
• Knowledge of Internet usability/User Interface (UI) best practices
• Proven command of User Centered Design (UCD) and human factors principles
• A background that includes information process flow definition and improvement as well as designing overall information architecture of several sites and advanced transactional design experience
• Experience in client services and negotiating business decisions
• Retail, grocery or strong international experience a big plus

Title: Senior Director of Digital Marketing

A growing, consumer e-commerce site is searching for a Senior Director of Digital Marketing, who will be a key leader within the marketing team. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Senior Director of Digital Marketing will manage the planning, strategy and team responsible for acquiring and re-engaging new and existing customers across all digital marketing channels, including online media, paid and natural search, affiliate channels and emerging channels such as video and social media. This highly successful Internet company needs a strong leader who can help drive future success.

Responsibilities:
• Develop marketing strategies to efficiently drive new customer acquisition through multiple online media channels
• Devise and communicate business targets and forecasts for online channel investments across key product lines and measure performance against those forecasts
• Drive quarterly planning process for all online channels to support product line goals
• Identify and develop business cases to test new channels and opportunities
• Gain a deep understanding of the ROI of investments and the opportunities to scale across customers and channels
• Develop strategies to move customers more effectively through consideration and purchase funnels through media and on-site
• Build awareness, interest and trial of the company's key product lines through development of effective online creative and messaging strategies
• Monitor all media investments to budget and efficiency goals
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in CRM, partner marketing and e-commerce units to optimize conversion of site visitors and registrants to customers through an integrated promotional and messaging strategy as well as cohesive customer experience
• Recruit, develop and retain a talented team responsible for managing these channels

Requirements:
• More than 15 years of consumer marketing experience, including more than five years of e-commerce/ online marketing experience (including creating, launching and measuring Internet Marketing programs through Internet marketing channels, including SEM/SEO, performance media, display, affiliates and social media advertising
• Industry knowledge of core media technologies such as ad servers, optimization platforms, targeting technologies as well as the ad network and exchanges landscape
• Demonstrated leadership experience and strong executive presence
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Strong analytic skills; knowledge of segmentation, testing and measurement techniques
• Proven track record of managing high-performing teams, large budgets and external partners
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
• Proactive, energetic, self-starter looking to have a significant impact on business success
• Ability to develop plans and make cases for key investments, resources and tests
