		Job Opportunities Public Relations Title: General Manager - Public Relations Location: Charlotte, NC A fast-paced integrated agency headquartered in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a General Manager to run its Charlotte office. Reporting to the agency president, the General Manager will manage operations for the Charlotte office, ensuring consistency of brand, voice and values. The GM will also lead new business activities; develop business plans and budgets; and serve as senior strategic account manager as needed. Monthly travel is required. Relocation will be considered. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage growth of the agency in eastern U.S. • Provide day-to-day management of the Charlotte staff including recruitment, hiring, and employee relations • Maintain clear staff communication with the agency's employees in all offices • Ensure compliance with the agency's processes and procedures, including leases and contracts, letters of agreement/employment and other legal documents • Develop and manage the Charlotte office budget • Lead and participate in new business activities • Participate actively in the agency's operations group, with special assignments as required • Appropriately represent the agency in the Charlotte-area business community and in the marketing communications industry • Work effectively and cooperatively with other agency employees and departments • Be available for business travel, trade shows and training as needed Requirements: • Bachelor's or graduate degree in a relevant discipline • 15+ years of relevant client and/or agency experience, including substantial experience managing staff and providing client account leadership • Understanding of business plans, forecasting, budgeting and staffing documents • Competence in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint • Business writing, word processing, personal computer and Internet communications skills • Strategic planning, organization and supervisory experience and skills • Ability to work effectively and communicate clearly with internal and external audiences • Good social skills and appropriate appearance, grooming and attire • Availability and physical ability for business travel • Current driver's license Apply for this position Back to Top Company Profile Job Opportunities Contact Us © Copyright 2003-2008 CM Recruiting.
