Title: Senior Online
Product Manager - Travel and Community
Location: San Francisco

A large, well-known, subscription-based consumer site is seeking a Senior Online Product Manager to develop business requirements and customer needs into a usable and effective consumer experience for the company's online properties. Initiatives will include the development of products primarily in the areas of online travel services and membership rewards. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for advocating the Internet with offline business partners and for defining product features and functionality within the user experience framework while balancing a range of business priorities. In addition, the Senior Product Manager will also need to evaluate and communicate financial and competitive impacts of potential product features.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and managing Web-based products and services; experience communicating strategies and business cases to stakeholders; and experience leading strategic development and roll-out for online community products.
Responsibilities:
Create goals and plans for the company's future online product offerings Rapidly develop expert knowledge of assigned product lines, the competitive landscape and emerging technologies Analyze and create business cases for identified strategic opportunities Lead cross-functional teams to translate business requirements and customer needs into a best-in-class consumer experience Manage and prioritize requests from multiple lines of business Educate offline business partners on online business model and dynamics, particularly in how they differ from other offerings at physical stores Write business requirements and manage the backlog of product features and enhancements Collaborate with content management, user experience and creative team to define product and feature specifications Provide ongoing analyses to monitor product effectiveness, competitiveness and financial performance
Requirements:
More than four years of experience in product management or product marketing; or more than six years as a technical business project manager At least three years of experience at an Internet company preferred Bachelor's degree required; M.B.A. degree preferred Proven knowledge of the product development lifecycle with multiple products Experience in Agile development methodologies; in market analysis and competitive analysis; and with Web traffic analytics programs preferred Ability to quickly come up to speed on state-of-the art online technologies Excellent written and oral skills, to communicate clearly and negotiate effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders Solid understanding of Internet business models Must work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment

Title: Web Publisher
- Content Management
Location: San Francisco
Are you a Web Content Manager interested in working for a stable company with amazing benefits including flexible work schedule? Look no further. A large, well-known, leading consumer site is searching for an experienced Content Manager to take a lead role in the development and maintenance of all content found on assigned areas of the company's web site. This individual will be joining an established team of 6 Content Managers and will have the opportunity to work on multiple areas of the business.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years experience maintaining Web content within a content management system (Vignette a huge plus) in a mid- to large-size company. Industries of particular interest include Financial Services, Insurance, and large membership organizations. Additionally, this role will require excellent relationship-building skills. The Content Manager will partner routinely with various other internal groups (i.e., product, design, and user experience) to ensure projects are successfully completed and documented.
Responsibilites:
Use content management system to publish website content; refresh existing content; and build simple as well as complex new pages
Edit content for readability as well as compliance to editorial and usability standards
Function as content management lead for assigned projects, developing content management system requirements
Develop content implementation plan and other project deliverables
Build content to project specifications in content management system, including some very basic HTML page builds
Update documentation for the content-management system
Requirements:
More than five years of experience maintaining web content using content management systems (preferably with Vignette)
Basic knowledge of HTML
Excellent skills in editing and proofreading
Customer service and relationship management skills
Ability to multitask under time constraints
Bachelor's degree. A Liberal Arts or English educational background a big plus.
