Title: Senior Manager/Director of Product Management
Location: SF Bay Area / Peninsula (just south of San Francisco)

A growing consumer e-commerce site is seeking a Senior Manager or Director of Product Management to drive product strategies, definition and execution across key product lines. This is a highly visible and strategic role within the company and the right candidate will have the opportunity flex his or her expertise on product specifics, target market and the competitive landscape to create compelling services strategies that deliver on customer and business needs.

The ideal candidate will have more than seven years of online, consumer product-management experience; a passion about emerging Web technologies; experience managing product initiatives leveraging user-generated content, video and mobile; experience with service sites such as community and social networking; and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

Responsibilities:
• Drive the overall roadmap for and lead all aspects of product line success, including gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, writing feature specifications and working closely with engineering, user experience, operations, customer marketing, customer service and finance to ensure product goals are met
• Collaborate with business leads to evaluate financial attractiveness of business opportunities
• Perform market research and competitive analysis
• Collect and analyze key site and business metrics and use this data to support the prioritizing and definition of project initiatives
• Gather new ideas for site features by reaching out to the customer base
• Help develop revenue forecasts and deliver revenue objectives

Requirements:
• More than seven years of product-management experience
• Product-management experience with consumer Web applications and service sites (such as community and social networking) a plus
• Experience managing product teams is a plus
• Passion for bringing innovative new products to market
• Excellent knowledge of emerging technologies
• Motivated, dynamic, creative and results-oriented
• Ability to collaborate actively and effectively on multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with market research, competitive analysis and usability testing
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
