Title: Director, Online Marketing

A 90-person SaaS startup is searching for a Director, Online Marketing, who will be responsible for ensuring that its lead-generation strategy is well designed, communicated and executed.

The Director, Online Marketing will create the overall lead-generation plan for the small and medium business (SMB) and enterprise market segments. This individual will develop campaigns designed to drive new lead acquisition; nurture existing prospects; drive qualified sales opportunities; and convert pipeline into revenue.

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Director, Online Marketing will work closely with sales, product marketing, corporate marketing and other teams to drive accountable lifts in revenue. This role will manage two direct reports, a Campaign Manager and a Search Marketing Manager. This is a well-funded, early-stage startup based in the Silicon Valley. Responsibilities:
• Develop the demand-generation strategy for the companyÕs enterprise market segment
• Manage a campaign manager responsible for developing integrated, multi-touch marketing campaigns and a search marketing manager responsible for Google PPC
• Manage online demand-generation campaigns
• Create banner and display advertising strategy and work with corporate marketing to execute
• Develop social-media strategy
• Handle high-level responsibility for design, test and execute progressive nurturing campaigns with Marketo marketing automation
• Measure and monitor sales funnel activity to ensure predictable pipeline building
• Develop data-mining strategies to enable demand generation, upsell and cross-sell
• Apply response analysis and best practices to optimize all aspects of demand generation
• Facilitate a strong working relationship with sales and product marketing

Requirements:
• More than seven years of relevant experience in demand marketing with an emphasis on driving sales, preferably in B2B enterprise software
• Experience and strong track record developing demand-generation strategy for SaaS or IT business software
• Strong management experience; able to hire, train and mentor direct reports
• Advanced knowledge of best practices in B2B marketing automation, demand generation and rules-based lead nurturing

• Strong and committed work ethic plus an ability to work in a collaborative team environment while performing autonomously
• Outstanding analytical skills and topnotch verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a data-driven mindset
• Professional marketing experience in markets outside of North America preferred
• Experience marketing a large consumer online brand using offline channels highly desirable
• Media planner with international experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree or higher
