Title: Head of Customer Acquisition
Location: San Francisco

A leading global e-commerce company, headquartered in San Francisco and with over 50 million members, is seeking a Head of Customer Acquisition to manage the acquisition of new customers across all direct marketing channels including paid search, natural search, affiliates, lead generation, online media, catalog, radio and DRTV. Reporting directly to the CMO, the Head of Customer Acquisition will be a senior member of the marketing team. He/she will be responsible for building and leading a team of marketing managers in the strategy and execution of all online and offline acquisition marketing programs.

Responsibilities:
Develop strategies in order to efficiently reach new-customer acquisition through multiple online and partner marketing channels
• Work closely with other members of the CRM and Product Marketing teams to grow market share in the relevant category
• Meet aggressive customer acquisition targets (new customers, new customer revenue) while staying within allowable CPA
• Negotiate and close deals directly with third parties to drive additional new customer acquisition
• Drive additional insights into new customer acquisition strategy
• Collaborate with partnership teams to optimize acquisition offers and strategies
• Plan and evaluate funnel optimization programs that increase the conversion of site visitors and registrants into customers
• Manage and meet all budget and efficiency goals
• Develop and retain a team of marketing managers responsible for online and offline advertising

Requirements:
•10+ years of marketing experience, with 4+ years of e-commerce marketing experience including the creation, launch and measurement of consumer marketing programs across all online and offline channels
• Hands-on experience in direct marketing segmentation, testing and tracking
• Sound experience in online marketing and driving new member traffic for an online, consumer-focused brand
• Comprehension of the principles of marketing and advertising, including product offer development
• Working knowledge of online customer-acquisition techniques as well as CPM, CPC and CPA strategies
• Strong working knowledge of Internet, performance and direct-response advertising models
• Strong analytic skills, with proficiency in Excel
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• B.A. degree required; M.B.A. preferred

• Own communication with internal clients (Art, Development and Customer Service) and manage external relationships (such as partner agencies)
• Identify key short- and long-term goals to support specific campaigns and marketing efforts, particularly focused on new customers and lead acquisition
• Submit and manage all creative briefs

Requirements:
Three to five years of experience working in online consumer media
• Three to five years of experience with online marketing, related to online consumer acquisition, direct response/database marketing, social network and SEO
• Experience in channel-marketing planning is a must
• Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
