Title: Senior Web Analyst
Location: San Francisco

An innovative new media company is searching for a Senior Web Analyst to join its rapidly growing team. Reporting to the VP, Marketing and Analytics, the Senior Web Analyst will be responsible for tracking key business metrics for online user behavior, sponsor campaign performance, and customer value. The analyst is also responsible for the company's Web analytics strategy and will partner regularly with the development and design teams. This San Francisco-based company has over 300 employees and was created by, for, and with an 18-34 year-old audience in mind. The company's pioneering interactive platform allows users to actively shape their experience based on their individual programming and information preferences.

The ideal candidate will have more than three years of solid experience in Web analytics; strong familiarity with metrics for online consumer businesses; previous experience with web analytics packages (Omniture a HUGE plus); and polished presentation skills.

Responsibilities:
• Identify and measure key performance metrics for Website user behavior (community growth, user drop off rates, conversion, revenue, retention rates, content consumption, content contribution, video usage, etc.)
• Recommend and analyze A/B testing on the Website
• Perform ad-hoc and deep-dive analyses and combine customer insights with Web analytics data to identify trends and recommend changes that are most likely to benefit the customer experience
• Work with Product, Development and QA teams to ensure projects are implemented with appropriate data elements to track results
• Help develop new processes that help expand analytics capabilities
• Define business and technical requirements for internal tracking systems to measure sponsor campaigns, content consumption rates and more
• Manage day-to-day relationships with third-party vendors
• Ensure end users are being consistently trained in working with analytic data and Omniture solutions
• Assist the site and individual departments in meeting KPIs
• Provide reports and dashboards to include trending, analysis and recommendations

Requirements:
More than three years of experience in Web analysis, including measures, terminology and benchmarks
• Familiarity with metrics for online consumer businesses (user acquisition, clickstream analyses, marketing efficiency, consumer lifecycle, etc.)
• Proven experience with Omniture, HBX, Google Analytics and similar software
• Experience with online marketing tactics such as pay-per-click advertising and search engine optimization
• Strong knowledge of the facets of online advertising and ad metrics
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex analyses
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting to large groups
• Must be highly organized and function well in a rapidly evolving environment
• Bachelor's degree
