Title: Director, Site Analytics

As the Director, Site Analytics, you will lead the team responsible for the creation, publishing and analyses of reports and dashboards that support site merchandising as well as other cross-functional groups. You will be responsible for leveraging a combination of Omniture and the company's extensive CRM data warehouse.

The Director, Site Analytics, will lead the team responsible for A/B testing efforts focused on improving site conversion. This team will also drive significant, ongoing ad hoc analyses into key business issues that drive critical site-performance metrics. You will work with business partners to prioritize and execute against reporting enhancements and analytical projects required to deliver business results. In addition, the Director will collaborate closely with the product-management team, engineering and key vendors to determine short-term and long-term needs for tools that support evolving analytics and reporting needs.

This role involves a combination of handling Web analytics, A/B testing and reporting development; managing teams and serving as a leader within the organization. You will be driving the technology needs to support analytical expertise and working on company initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Lead the teams responsible for site analytics (both reporting and ad hoc analyses) and A/B testing
• Present analyses and test results and resulting recommendations to peers and senior management; translate technical concepts into non-technical terms
• Leverage data to assist in defining site-enhancement requirements; present a compelling business case for securing those investments
• Represent site merchandising in monthly P&L reviews with senior executives
• Review Web analytics tools and system suite regularly to ensure functional productivity for all user groups
• Communicate opportunities to drive financial goals cross-functionally by making suggestions that support site-wide objectives
• Manage Web analytic project prioritization, based on business needs
• Establish and evangelize improved data-driven views of site performance
• Collaborate with peers (site and cross-functional leads) to ensure consistency of information, methodologies and reports; share best practices and develop systems knowledge to deliver new reports and enhance existing reports to meet needs
• Draw reasonable and actionable conclusions from analytic summaries; recommend changes to existing policies and processes based on analytic conclusions and understanding of business requirements and drivers
• Lead ongoing ad-hoc analyses of critical business issues that affect site performance; translate analyses into executable recommendations
• Lead conversion planning and forecasting on weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual levels * Oversee ongoing evolution of A/B testing program; drive continued development of a test-driven culture and mindset
• Define and oversee operational KPIs
• Prioritize and manage execution of requests for Dashboard and report enhancements from marketing, merchandising, creative and other business partners
• Act as the business lead for Omniture; ensure that vendor is meeting organizational business needs
• Act as the business lead for Omniture; manage regular, on-going communication and relationship with the company
• Collaborate with all Omniture user groups; maintain and prioritize a list of enhancements
• Effectively translate business needs and goals into technical specifications for systems development
• Apply strong technical and business knowledge to effectively plan development roadmap for all Web analytic tools and reporting suites
• Collaborate with business partners to prioritize reporting enhancements required to deliver business results
• Lead the business product-management team and key vendors to determine short-term and long-term needs for reporting tools
• Pro-actively create ad hoc analysis to facilitate decision-making and inform senior management of potential risks or opportunities
• Coordinate with channel marketing and merchandise planning groups to develop daily, monthly and annual traffic, conversion, orders and sales forecasts
• Manage expectations for conversion in daily sales creation; work through any potential conflicts

Requirements:
More than eight years of experience in relevant site analytics, site development and or site merchandising experience
• B.A. or B.S. degree required; M.B.A. preferred
• A background of managing technical projects within cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated experience managing a team of technically advanced analytical professionals in the area of Web analytics
• Extensive expertise in Omniture required; familiarity with Coremetrics, Google Analytics or other Web analytics tools preferred
• Proven experience managing an A/B testing program, both to achieve business insight through testing and to drive ongoing performance improvements through multivariate UI optimization
• Solid background in working with statistics
• Expert knowledge of Web analysis, Web analytic tools, A/B testing and reporting / dashboard best practices; skills in SQL query writing for Greenplum, Netezza, Oracle and Teradata
• Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills as well as organizational, presentation and project-management skills
• Solid ability to combine customer insights with Web analytics data to recommend changes to improve the customer experience
• Excellent business acumen and demonstrated strength in creating partnerships and in building relationships with other functions and associates within an organization
• Advanced skills using Excel and Access and in charting, creating reports (with Business Objects or Tableau or similar software), pivot tables and more
• Ability to communicate with business and technical resources; skilled at expressing complex issues with clarity and simplicity
• Expertise in database-driven sites and content-management tools preferred
• Experience building and deploying models and data-mining tasks using analytics tools preferred
• Able to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and meet aggressive deadlines
